Nome Studios, LLC ("Nome Studios," "we," "us," or "our") is a California limited liability company that develops and operates an artificial intelligence-powered product photography application ("App") available through the Shopify App Store. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information in connection with our App and any related services (collectively, the "Services").
By installing or using the App, you ("Merchant" or "you") agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and discontinue use of the Services.
This Privacy Policy is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions, including without limitation the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, "CCPA/CPRA").
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed by Nome Studios through its Shopify App and related Services. It applies solely to Merchants — that is, Shopify store owners and their authorized users who install and operate the App. It does not govern the data practices of Shopify, Inc., third-party AI model providers, or any other third-party platforms. Each such third party operates under its own privacy policy.
Nome Studios is not a consumer-facing application. We do not directly interact with your end customers (i.e., the individuals who purchase from your Shopify store), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from your end customers.

To generate product photographs, we transmit product-related inputs (e.g., product images accessed via Shopify APIs, user-defined prompts) to third-party AI model providers. These providers process data on our behalf pursuant to data processing agreements and are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
We host the App and store data using third-party cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform). These providers operate in accordance with industry-standard security frameworks and relevant data processing terms.
We use third-party analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Segment) to help us understand how Merchants use the App. These providers may receive technical and usage data in connection with their services. We use contractual and technical safeguards to limit their use of such data.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Nome Studios, our Merchants, or the public.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is subject to a materially different privacy policy.
Data processed by the Services is stored on servers located in the United States. By using the App, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States.
We store AI-generated images created for your store, your account and subscription records, usage analytics, and communications history. We do not store product images you did not generate through the App, nor do we store end-customer personal information.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you uninstall the App, we will retain your data indefinitely unless and until you submit a written deletion request to privacy@nomestudios.com. Upon a verified deletion request, we will delete or anonymize your data within thirty (30) days, except to the extent retention is required by applicable law.
We and our third-party partners use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar tracking technologies in connection with the Services. These technologies help us:
You may configure your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. However, disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the App. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals, as no uniform industry standard for such signals has been adopted.
Nome Studios is subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020. To the extent that Merchants are "consumers" under the CCPA/CPRA, they have the following rights with respect to their personal information:
You have the right to request that we disclose: (a) the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you; (b) the categories of sources from which such information was collected; (c) the business or commercial purpose for collecting or sharing such information; and (d) the categories of third parties with whom we share such information.
You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law (e.g., information necessary to complete a transaction, detect security incidents, or comply with a legal obligation).
You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Nome Studios does not sell personal information, nor do we share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. Accordingly, no opt-out mechanism for sale or sharing is required at this time.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

We will respond to verified requests within forty-five (45) days, with the option to extend by an additional forty-five (45) days where reasonably necessary upon notice to you.

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information and encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to notify us immediately at privacy@nomestudios.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
The Services are intended solely for use by business operators aged eighteen (18) years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a minor, we will take prompt steps to delete such information. The App may contain links to or integrate with third-party websites, platforms, or services, including the Shopify platform, AI model providers, and analytics tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies before providing any information to them.
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (using the address associated with your Shopify store account) and/or by posting a prominent notice within the App prior to the change becoming effective. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
Your continued use of the Services following notice of any material changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
